AkzoNobel, a global leader in paints and coatings, initiated a Start-up Challenge with a goal of attracting at least 50 submissions from the chemical industry. The challenge was to find and engage the core target audiences in a worldwide and highly niche market.

Approach

Socialdatabase employed its enriched X database to identify 21 unique communities within the chemical industry. The audience was specifically built to include not just those with an interest and affinity for chemistry, but also startups, founders, investors, and other communities worldwide connected to chemistry and sustainability.
